The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) recently hosted a welcome dinner for the delegates of the 22nd APEC Tourism working group at the Point, Dusit Resort Pattaya Hotel. The event was presided over by Kriengkrai Jirapaet, Assistant to the Minister of Tourism and Sports. From left: Mr. Chatchawal Supachanont, President of the Thai Hotels Association Eastern Chapter; Mr. Patpong Abhijatjpong, Deputy Governor for Planning and Development TAT; Mr. Kriengkrai; Mr. Aggaphol Brickshawana, Director of Planning Department TAT; Mr. Manit Boonchim, Director of Tourism Authority of Thailand, Central Office Region 3.


The management of the Garden Beach Resort Pattaya, led by GM Sophon Wongchatchainont (standing first row, fourth left), recently organized the “Pruetsapa Hunsa Staff Party” - a red hot red party theme - at the Garden Beach Resort, Pattaya Grand Hall.


Surapol Lertmettah, assistant general manager of Town In Town Hotel Pattaya, organized a fire prevention day-course for the hotel’s staff. Surapol Sawatvichian, head official at Pattaya fire prevention unit No. 5, trained the hotel staff in fire prevention and lifesaving practices.


Waste Management Siam Co. Ltd. recently arranged the annual site visit for the Khao Chee, Hobbon and Sirianusorn community committees to the Eastern Seaboard Environmental Complex (ESBEC) to increase their knowledge about Modern Sanitary Landfill’s waste collection and disposal system.


A group of U.S. Navy visited Chonburi Juvenile Detention Center and donated loads of sports equipment and other necessities to the children to fulfill one of the Cobra Gold community service projects. The visit as well as the donation was made possible through great help and cooperation of Peter Thorand, director of community service of Rotary Club of Taksin-Pattaya, and Charan Pakdichanuan, director of the detention center.


On the occasion of the closing ceremony of the Thai Hotels Association’s Sport’s Day, the Pattaya Marriott Resort & Spa organized an Aerobic Marathon. It was run by the hotel’s fitness instructors on the Helicopter Landing Pad on the roof of the Royal Garden Plaza.
