HRH Princess Galyani honours Bruno’s Restaurant

HRH Princess Galyani Vadhana and her entourage visited Bruno’s Restaurant and Wine Bar for lunch last week. She was welcomed by the partners Bruno Forrer and Fredi Schaub, who had prepared a “royal” luncheon for her visit. HRH Princess Galyani is pictured with Bruno (L) and Fredi (R) plus the executive staff from the restaurant.

A recent meeting of the Fassbind Foundation was held at Bruno’s Restaurant, during which the outcome of the highly-successful Fassbind Foundation Charity Dinner, held at the Amari Watergate Hotel late last year, was discussed.

A number of proposals were examined and it was agreed to request Foundation president Bruno Forrer to pursue further avenues for disbursement of charity.

BCCT and the relocation battle

(L to R) Greg Watkins, executive director of BCCT, John Perry, GM of Crown, Achita Limtrakul (front) Crown’s corporate services executive, Mike ‘Moose’ Kelly, Graham Macdonald, BCCT Eastern Seaboard director, Kim Fletcher, Shenanigans landlord, and Darien Herbert, Crown’s senior manager of sales & development.

The British Chamber of Commerce Thailand (BCCT) held another very successful networking evening at Shenanigans last weekend. With sponsorship from Shenanigans and Crown Relocations, the evening was further brightened up by a cardboard box folding competition, with the winner receiving a miniature cricket bat autographed by Sir Richard Hadlee, a New Zealand cricketer of some repute. With ex-Enzedder John Perry being the GM of Crown Relocations in Thailand, the origin of the item was evident.

It was also interesting to note the friendly rivalry being exhibited by the Crown personnel and the Santa Fe relocations folk, with “Moose” and the delightful Achita Limtrakul outflanking Keith Ellis and Paul Dobbs from the opposition group.

As usual, the pedagogues were well represented, with the International School in Pattaya out in force and Shenanigans regular (and DJ extraordinary) Ken Sly waving the GIS flag.

As an arena to showcase one’s wares and abilities, there is no doubt that the Pub Nights run by the BCCT are an excellent way to network, and the BCCT are to be congratulated on the relaxed running of this monthly event.
