Clubs

Seaboard Sound and Friends are back to their weekly routine with rehearsals every Monday from 11:00 – 13:00 in Soi Rungland, South Pattaya. All singers and beginners are welcome to join for good music and nice company. Give it a try. Contact Monika Rottmann @ 225903.

The PILC’s annual Holiday Bazaar will be held on the 2nd of October at the Royal Cliff Beach Resort. Everyone is invited to buy seasonal gifts for all occasions between 9:30 and 17:00 hours. 77 vendors will ensure that everyone will find what they are looking for. Khun Atchara Pachimnant, wife of Chonburi’s governor, will officiate at the opening ceremony to give it the right touch of class. Many activities are planned, including a coloring contest for children aged 5 to 13 and the “Millennium Raffle” with lots of fabulous prizes of jewelry, hotel weekends and airline tickets. Raffle tickets are on sale 50 baht each or a book of 12 for 500 baht. This bazaar is PILC’s main fund raising event that will provide for the charitable efforts of the club. Planet Rock, Pattaya’s newest up-market night club/disco has started nightly raffles every hour offering three prizes for each drawing. For every beverage ordered, the guest receives a raffle ticket. To date, the promotion is highly successful and will be running for an indefinite time. Planet Rock is located in Pattayaland, Soi 2 between Beach Road and Second Road.

Rosie O’Gradys is holding a pre-season party night on Friday October 1st. A new 8 piece band will play a wide variety of music from rock, pop, blues & soul throughout the season, 7 nights a week, from 9 p.m. ‘til late. Free buffet will be served in the air-conditioned restaurant by professional chefs from 9 p.m. onwards. All are welcome. Rosie O’Gradys is situated on Soi 7 off Pattaya Second Road.

From now until October 30th, every Friday and Saturday the Montien Hotel will be holding elimination events for their annual “Night of Shining Stars” Karaoke Singing Contest. Everybody is welcome to join. Who knows? Maybe the great winner of 100,000 baht is amongst the readers of Pattaya Mail.

Happy Family Hour every Saturday at 7:00 p.m. at BJ’s Restaurant on the corner of Beach Road & Sri Nakorn Center. These special events are held to further the cause of harmony, understanding and charity!

No music, no life! Thursday 30th September, Hank and Towers Records will present the latest hits from all over the world at Henry J. Beans! The records will be presented by a famous DJ from Bangkok and in-between Hank’s live band will entertain.

The Captain’s Corner is serving a “Grand Texan Style Bar-B-Q”, all you can eat, Steak & Seafood for only 250 baht every night from 18.00-23.00. Cafe New Orleans, one of Pattaya’s most talked about new restaurants will continue its Sunday luncheon promotion for an indefinite time due to its popularity. For only B250, Cafe New Orleans serves all the Barbecued Baby Back Ribs you can eat, plus soup, salad and pasta, every Sunday from 12 noon to 4 p.m. Cafe New Orleans probably sells more baby back ribs in Pattaya then all the other restaurants put together. Delaney’s Irish Pub in the Royal Garden Plaza complex is offering a special Curry evening every Friday with nine assorted Curries, Somosa’s, Tikka’s and all the extra trimmings, with many Vegetarian dishes. As much as you can eat for 345 baht. So, if you’d like to try a ‘real’ Irish Indian Curry, visit Delaney’s.

Sher-E Punjab has delicious curries that are carefully prepared, so even Farangs who are unaccustomed to hot food will be pleased. Sher-e Punjab is located near Pattaya Park - easy to find.

Not exactly Indian food, but “Mamma Mia” Italian food, such as Lasagne, Canneloni, Pizza, etc., is Pat’s Pies alternative! This is in addition to their old traditional and new line of English pies, to enhance the range of services for those who like something different. As for their weekly special, they now have Roast Turkey (250 baht), Beef Wellington (220 baht), as well as second to none Irish Stew (250 baht) and Roast Lamb (215 baht) plus all the trimmings. Check it out, Pat’s Pies is located on 3rd Road, not far from the intersection with South Pattaya Road.

Due to heavy construction work, the Moon River Pub will reward all customers able to find them through the maze on North Pattaya Road. The first beer or soft drink is on the house, and after midnight all customers will receive a free snack to build up strength for the way out. Also: Beads, Beads, Beads, Sanouk Handicrafts also have a stand by the cinema where you can make your own bead necklaces and bracelets from just 19 baht plus the beads you choose, or have your hair braided for between 20 to 50 baht plus the beads. Cotton banner from Chiang Mai, naturally dyed or more blue & white pottery; beautiful lacquer ware from Vietnam including pots and pipes, raw silk blankets from Buriram and Nancy Chandler’s cards, beautiful shawls in many colors (naturally dyed raw silk) from the Village Women Group in Roi-Et. Just go and take a look at Vilai’s. Surely, you won’t regret it!
