Police are looking for a man who stole 60,000 baht from an elderly
market owner in Central Pattaya.
Ubon In-am, 66, told police a thin, fair-skinned man wearing a suede
cap, black shirt, and three-quarters pants was shopping for 1,300 baht
in items at her corner grocery store on 3rd Road Soi 19 when he stole
her purse as she went to look for a box for his groceries.
She returned to the counter unaware the bag was gone and the customer
left without buying anything, saying he’d return in a few minutes. He
never did. The purse contained bank cards and about 60,000 baht in cash.
