A German man and his Thai wife were arrested on human trafficking and pandering charges for allegedly offering underage girls for sexual services out of their East Pattaya beer bar.

Heinrich Luts Meyer, 61, and Thipaporn Naebsuk, 34, were taken into custody March 9 by Region 2, Banglamung and Huay Yai Police at the Nang Nuan beer bar on Soi Khao Noi.

A foreign undercover police informant secured the services of two girls, ages 14 and 17 and arranged to have them come to his hotel room. Once the girls appeared and money was exchanged, police arrested the bar owners.

Both were charged with conspiracy to commit human trafficking and forcing underage children into prostitution.

Police claim both suspects confessed, with Meyer sad he’d been living in the kingdom for a decade running such services from bars.
