Keeping the beaches clean

Aloha,
The Pollution Solution Group would like to thank these two wonderful people
that are doing a great job, in taking care of the Jomtien Beach area of Soi
6 and 7. Neither get paid, except for the joy of helping Mother Earth,
receiving the inner-wealth, exercise and making it safer in that area for
children, wildlife and waterways, getting their exercise and giving back at
the same time a win, win.
Now if we can get others to think this way, we might be able to make our
home, Earth, a better place to live.
It doesn’t matter where we came from, it doesn’t matter where we are, what
matters is where we are coming from on the inside.
The pollution Group takes our hats off to these two.

Liquid nitrogen
Editor;
After watching Dr. Carl Gibbons’ comment on the Japanese reactor crisis, I
am surprised that no mention was made about more efficient ways of cooling -
like why liquid nitrogen is not used to cool down Japanese reactors? It is
not flammable when it turns into gas, it’s chemically neutral, used
extensively to purge pipes prior to welding and extremely cold in liquid
form, plus it’s cheep.
The large cylinders should be lowered by double rotor helicopters right into
the cooling system and first used externally (as super cool H2O+liquid N
blended slash) to avoid rapid buildup of pressure if pumped directly into
the cooling system. Only when temps drop by external cooling, in an
industrial blender water should be blended with a small amount of liquid
nitrogen and in a form of super cool slash pumped into the cooling system.
The whole process must be done gradually to avoid rapid cool down and
cracking of cooling tubes and fuel rods. Also nitrogen would dilute
generated hydrogen below explosive levels.
Yours truly, always watching.

Open minded multiversity
Editor;
In my pseudo-humble opinion, Wikileaks whistle blowers have helped lift the
stagnant veil of covert secrecy obfuscating hypocritical diplomatic and
bureaucratic exchanges in favor of fresher, less slanted and more
transparent mass media dereliction of duty accountability. As the
communications landscape’s enhanced free speech capabilities become more
complex and more participatory, IT tuned-in techies are gaining more valid
information truths while exposing deliberately programmed disinformation
semi-lies, representing an active threat to challenge all statically passive
hierarchical institutions.
The digital age’s virtual reality potential in affecting our global destiny
and interconnected fate lies in supporting just cause civil society and
observing cherished freedoms public debate, which can ultimately be expected
to produce change, not overnight but over decades, benefiting future
generations. Pragmatic idealists truly believe that the world’s ethically
moral sane majority wholeheartedly wants peace and democracy rather than war
and theocracy. Common sense shared vows must ensure tolerant multiversity by
joining together to break the boringly familiar, hateful fear-mongering,
bullyrag tactics employed by insecure, self-serving national-religious
extremist fanatics.
Pax vobiscum!

Jet ski scam
Dear Editor,
Full marks to Mayor Itthiphol for taking an unofficial stroll down Pattaya
Beach to confront jet ski operators head on about the money they are
fleecing from tourists for imaginary damage when they hire jet skis.
Unless the hirer has an actual collision with another boat or turns the jet
ski upside down, neither event which is likely to be missed by the
operators, it’s difficult to imagine what damage it is possible to do to a
jet ski.
What is equally disturbing is that Mayor Itthiphol doesn’t even trust his
own police force to act as fair arbitrators. The fact that ‘only a few’
corrupt officers are involved is hardly reassuring!
The damage these scams are causing Pattaya’s tourist industry is
incalculable, not that that worries the jet ski operators or the few corrupt
police officers of course, as long as they all get their rake off.
I just hope the new regulations proposed by Mayor Itthiphol have enough
‘teeth’ when they come into force to rid Pattaya of this particular plague
once and for all.
Best regards
Richard Thomson
