If you want to get into a festive mood, head down to the Central Festival shopping mall where students will be playing a variety of Christmas songs. Students from ISE (International School Eastern Seaboard) will be at the mall on Friday December 10 from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. The free concert will include many Christmas favourites, performed by three of the school’s talented bands. The Lighthouse Club Pattaya will be holding their Annual Christmas Gala-Dinner on Friday 17th December at the 5-star Centara Grand Mirage Beach Resort, Wong-Amart Beach in North Pattaya. The Gala-Dinner starts from 6:30 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. at the Grand Ballroom of the hotel and the admission fee is THB 1,500 for all (M|F) which includes Christmas Dinner, free flow of draft beer (as long as stock last) plus 1/2 bottle of wine per guest. Clubs and Associations

The next meeting of Pattaya City Expats Club (PCEC) will be on Sunday, December 12. Everyone is warmly welcome. The program will have a Christmas theme this week with children from the Pattaya Orphanage singing Christmas Carols. The Club meets every Sunday morning at the Tavern by the Sea Restaurant located on the north end of Beach Road (part of the Amari Orchid Resort). The program starts as usual at 10:30 a.m. with a buffet breakfast available from 9 to 11 a.m. Each week the PCEC usually has an interesting speaker to talk on various subjects of interest in an informal setting. The program is followed by the ever lively and often humorous Open Forum where questions are asked and answers given about living in Pattaya as well as an update on events in and around Pattaya. For the past 28 years the Samaritans of Thailand have been providing confidential crisis intervention services over the telephone. The English-speaking unit, Samaritans English Help Line operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide support to the expatriate community. English-speaking staff, trained in crisis intervention will provide active, non-judgmental and empathetic listening services on the phone.
