The mother is obviously upset when seeing the alleged rapist for the first time after being brought back to Pattaya to face charges.

Huay Yai police have arrested a Thai man who allegedly got his neighbors drunk then raped their two daughters after the parents passed out.

Somboon Kradkrai, 48, was arrested Oct. 15 near his daughter’s home in Prachinburi where he allegedly fled after the Sept. 19 assault on the two girls, both under age 15. Somboon admitted to attempted rape, but claimed he did not go through with it.

The evidence, however, suggests otherwise. The victims’ mother said she took her daughters to the hospital after they told her of the attack and doctors reportedly found physical evidence of rape.

The mother said the incident began when Somboon showed up at their house around 9 p.m. Sept. 19 with food and whiskey, asking for her and her husband to join him for drinks. After a number of rounds, she said she suggested Somboon go home, but he insisted they each have one more.

She claims after that final drink she and her husband passed out. When they awoke, they found their daughters disturbed and questioned them as to the problem. The girls, she said, claimed they’d been raped by Somboon, who threatened to kill them if they told anyone.

After the mother filed a police report, the suspected rapist allegedly fled for Issan where he was eventually tracked down.
