Boyz Town, Pattayaland Soi 3 is holding its first ever Charity Street Bazaar on August 1, with all proceeds going to aid Pattaya Pride and Thais 4 Life! Events

There will be a BCCT Eastern Seaboard Networking Evening on Friday March 19 from 6.30 p.m. at the Beach Bar & Grill on Beach Road close to Central Road and next to Hard Rock Hotel & Montien Hotel Pattaya. The Beach Bar & Grill is sponsoring finger buffet food & Fluid Asia Pacific is sponsoring beer on a first-come, first-served basis from 6.30 -8.00 p.m. All members and guests are welcome. The entry fees are: THB 300 per person (BCCT members) and THB 1,000 per person (non BCCT members). BCCT members can book on-line in the normal way. Non-members should email ornwimon@ bccthai.com with the name/s and email/s of those attending.

The Pattaya International Music Festival will take place from March 19-21 at Bali Hai Pier and along Pattaya Beach Road. The Festival features food and floral floats, beauty contests, stalls selling local delicacies and a spectacular fireworks display on the beach. The free music concerts are put on by a wide range of local and international talent.

The Pattaya International Paintball Championships will be held from March 12-14 at the Pattaya Sports Arena on Chaiyapruek Road. Around 40 teams from 11 different countries including Australia, Indonesia, Iran, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, South Africa, and Taiwan, as well as Thailand, will compete in three separate divisions for a share of the prize money totaling some two million baht.


Clubs and Associations

The next Pattaya City Expats Club (PCEC) meeting will be on Sunday, March 14 and everyone is warmly welcome to attend. The club meets every Sunday morning at Henry J. Bean’s Restaurant on the north end of Beach Road in the grounds of the Amari Orchid Resort. The program starts as usual at 10:30 a.m. with a buffet breakfast available from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Each week the PCEC has an interesting speaker to talk on various subjects of interest in an informal setting. This week’s scheduled speaker will be Stephen Rouse. He will be speaking about films in Thailand. This talk will be followed by the ever lively and often humorous Open Forum where questions are asked and answers given about living in Pattaya as well as an update on events in and around Pattaya. For the past 28 years the Samaritans of Thailand have been providing confidential crisis intervention services over the telephone. The English-speaking unit, Samaritans English Help Line operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide support to the expatriate community. English-speaking staff, trained in crisis intervention will provide active, non-judgmental and empathetic listening services on the phone. Pattaya Players have announced auditions for their upcoming blockbuster performance of Loot!  This ‘black comedy’ melodrama written by Joe Orton in 1967 is a cult classic that pushed all the boundaries of its day. There are parts for both male and female actors and auditions will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 1. The performances will take place on June 12-13, and the venue will be announced soon.  All interested parties both talent-wise and back stage should plan on attending.
