Boyz Town, Pattayaland
Soi 3 is holding its first ever Charity Street Bazaar on August 1,
with all proceeds going to aid Pattaya Pride and Thais 4 Life! Dig deep and
clear out those unwanted saleable items and donate now. We are accepting
donations of books, clothing, bedding, household items, pictures, ornaments,
crockery, cutlery, furniture, plants, original DVD’s or CD’s (no counterfeit
items please) in fact any good condition items that can be sold to raise
money for charity. This will be a major family event on the calendar not to
be missed, with games, street entertainment and other events. For further

Events
The
Centara Grand Mirage Resort in Naklua, Pattaya will present an ‘Evening
with Heather Small’ and special guests on Saturday, Feb. 27. The award
winning singer from M People will be singing live all her biggest hits
including ‘Moving On Up’, ‘One Night In Heaven’ and ‘Search For The Hero’
and of course the London 2012 Olympic Anthem ‘Proud’. The evening is in
support of the Melissa Cosgrove Children’s Foundation and all the proceeds
from the concert will be donated to this charity. Tickets are priced 1,000,
3,500 and 5,000 baht per person with the top priced tickets including a
buffet, glass of champagne and a chance to meet Heather in person. For more

Clubs and Associations
The next Pattaya City Expats Club (PCEC)
meeting will be on Sunday, February 28 and everyone is warmly welcome to
attend. The club meets every Sunday morning at Henry J. Bean’s Restaurant on
the north end of Beach Road in the grounds of the Amari Orchid Resort. The
program starts as usual at 10:30 a.m. with a buffet breakfast available from
9:30 to 11 a.m. Each week the PCEC has an interesting speaker to talk on
various subjects of interest in an informal setting. The speaker for this
Sunday will be Christopher G. Moore, the well known author of the Vincent
Calvino Private Eye series. He will be discussing his latest book in the
series, “The Corruptionist”. This talk will be followed by the ever lively
and often humorous Open Forum where questions are asked and answers given
about living in Pattaya as well as an update on events in and around Pattaya.

For the past
28 years the Samaritans of Thailand have been providing confidential
crisis intervention services over the telephone. The English-speaking unit,
Samaritans English Help Line operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to
provide support to the expatriate community. English-speaking staff, trained
in crisis intervention will provide active, non-judgmental and empathetic
listening services on the phone. All calls will be handled on an anonymous
