Häfele Thailand celebrates 15th birthday with party

Chai yo! The crew celebrates the anniversary.

Paul Strachan
In what’s been a difficult year for many, has proved to be quite the opposite for Häfele Thailand.
Häfele is a highly-regarded partner in architecture, woodworking and property development. Their comprehensive hardware technology supply solutions include: furniture fittings, architectural hardware and Dialock, an electronic locking system.
Häfele is, at its heart, a family business and has operations in over 90 countries and due to its longevity and success, the global financial downturn of the last twelve months was looked upon by the company as an opportunity rather than a challenge. As such, as many businesses were closing their doors, Häfele was able to take the initiative and employ highly qualified redundant staff and fill gaps in the market left by the closure of these businesses.

Stefan Huber (right) explains to Paul Strachan of Pattaya Mail on TV the key to Häfele Thailand’s success.
The result of which was that Häfele Thailand found itself not only up regarding turnover from last year, but also boosted to within the top five performing countries globally.
Thus the group was in a somewhat celebratory mood and decided to host a thank you party inviting over 400 of their architects and partners to their main showroom in Bangkok on Friday, November 27.
As well as a buffet, VW cocktail van and an unending supply of draught beer, there were also games such as coconut bowling and a retro Ferris wheel. In fact, the evening had a definite retro feel to it, from the dresses of the abundant models to an Elvis Presley look-alike replete in white jump suit with the essential diamonds encrusted on his chest.
This was also the time to hand over a brand new BMW 525i which was first prize in a massive raffle that has been taking place over the last year. It was won by a beaming Häfele agent called Namthip Meerapatiwat.
Stefan Huber, Häfele’s chief executive of international business also attended the event and prior to the party along with Volker Hellstern (Häfele Thailand managing director) they gave a brief press conference and explained how over the years Häfele has had to adapt their products to suit the Thai market and that the company’s accomplishments in Thailand were something that they were very proud of.
Stefan Huber put this success down to not just the range and quality of their products but also to the huge commitment and enthusiasm shown by their workforce.
The party was, needless to say, a huge success and certainly a reason to celebrate, with everybody getting in the mood, dancing and singing along with the Thai band ‘Friday’.
Häfele has now been in Thailand for fifteen years and their logo, with the emblazoned red A, is a familiar site around many cities. There is no doubt that this company has their balance right and their ongoing success is a certainty here in the Land of Smiles.
