PILC in for a real treat
at Montien Hotel

The ladies from the Pattaya International Ladies Club
were in for a real treat at the Montien Hotel for their monthly luncheon in
November. All sixty four of them enjoyed the sumptuous buffet provided by
the hotel and as Pattaya had just enjoyed the festival of Loy Krathong the
previous evening, the staff along with Alvi Sinthuvanik, Hospitality Chair,
demonstrated some Thai customs and performed some traditional Thai dance.

Tradition first at area
Loy Krathong celebrations

After a Western-influenced Halloween weekend, area residents and
tourists embraced tradition Monday for grand Loy Krathong celebrations.
Pattaya’s celebration was centered at Bali Hai Pier with Mayor Itthiphol
Kunplome presiding over an event aimed at preserving Thai traditions as
well as stoking tourism. Activities included beauty and children’s
contests, a krathong-decorating competition and stage entertainment.

I.S.E. walk-a-thon raises 127,000 baht for charity

Students from the International School of the Eastern Seaboard raised
127,000 baht to help two charity organizations during an Oct. 28
walk-a-thon.

Champion over a weekend of testing sailing at Royal Varuna Yacht Club
recently.

Siam Elephant - a national icon

Thai elephants are supposedly jungle animals, but the Siam Elephant is not - it
is a restaurant within the Siam Bayshore Resort and Spa and overlooks the final
stretch of Walking Street as it leads into the Bali Hai pier area. It has been
established for around five years,
