Club got underway at the Amari’s Henry J. Bean Restaurant on Sunday, June 21
when Master of Ceremonies Richard Silverberg welcomed everyone to the
meeting. After the usual announcements, he introduced the first of our two
speakers from Bangkok Hospital Pattaya.

Skål encourages co-promotions

The resurrected Skål Club of Pattaya and East Thailand held its
latest meeting at the Thai Garden Resort’s Moon River Pub in North Pattaya.
An excellent turn-out of 31 members and potential members were entertained
and advised on the latest economic indicators and given ways of overcoming
the downturn.

Chonburi Handicap Project receives help

On June 22, grand opening ceremonies were held for two newly completed
Chonburi Handicap Project cases. The two sites were located in Chonburi
Province southeast of Phanat Nikhom, or about an hour’s drive from Pattaya.

St Andrews take
on the ‘Wenger boys’

A squad of seven boys from St Andrews school travelled to Bangkok on
Thursday, June 18 for an evening U14 five-a-side competition being held at
the Arsenal Football Academy in Bang Na. The local boys were competing
against the best sports schools in Bangkok and also taking on Arsenal, who
hand pick and coach the best U14s in Thailand.
