City helps with funeral costs
Pattaya City is ready to help ease the financial burden of a funeral for
grieving families with its Cremation Assistance Fund.
The Social Welfare Department is offering a mobile cremation assistance
registration service to residents, encouraging them to apply to become Pattaya
Cremation Assistance Fund members.
The first lot of residents were able to join on February 19 from 9-12 p.m.
It is a family welfare project to help with money and management of funerals.
Cremation assistance is one of the main duties of the Family Promotion
Institute, which also helps families cope better with death and helps maintain
family stability so that normal life can continue. continued | More News

Dusit welcomes Honda LPGA Thailand 2009 golfers

The Honda LPGA Thailand 2009 was played last week at the
Siam Country Club Plantation course. World ranked lady golfers including
Lorena Ochoa, Suzann Pettersen, Laura Davies and Paula Creamer stayed at
Dusit Thani Pattaya, the official hotel sponsor of the world class golfing
event.

Pattaya Bike Week 2009 shakes earth

Motorcycles and music in a peaceful environment was a potent
combination attracting thousands of motorcycle fans crowding Pattaya Bike
Week from February 12-15.
Organized and managed by members of the Burapa Motorcycle Club, the event
has dramatically developed and grown year by year.

Regent’s International Day raises over 160,000 baht for major Round Square projects

On Saturday February 14, the Regent’s School hosted an extravaganza
celebrating Internationalism and Valentine’s Day. The event was planned in
advance for 4 months, by a small committee of Regent’s students, known as
the “International Team”.

Brazilian athlete Vinnie Santana retained his Men’s individual
title and Thailand’s Natcha Pienprasobsuk held on to her Women’s Open
crown at the 2009 Pattaya Triathlon held along Pattaya Beach Road on
Sunday, Feb. 22.
