Funds approved for Jomtien 2nd Road

Pattaya City Council has passed a 7.79 million baht budget to buy land for the construction of Jomtien 2nd Road.
The first general council meeting of 2009 was held on February 12 at city hall with council chairman, Tawit Chaisawangwong, presiding.
Mayor Itthipol Khunplome proposed an urgent resolution to approve using 7,794,156.37 baht from the council’s deposit money to pay for expropriated land to construct Jomtien 2nd Road.
This is being done in accordance with the Chonburi City Plan 2003 Project, after realizing shortfall in funds provided by the central government.

Visually impaired athletes warm up for Sukhothai games

Blind and visually impaired athletes from the Pattaya area used a special sports day held at the Pattaya Redemptorist School for the Blind on February 11 as a warm up for a disabled student games competition to be staged in Sukhothai at the beginning of March.
