Former Prime Minister General Surayud Chulanont was recently in Pattaya for a holiday. He stayed at Woodland’s Hotel and Resort Pattaya, where he was welcomed by MD Sutham Phantusak and Asst. MD Alisa Phantusak, also joined by Pol Lt Gen Jetanakorn Napeetapat, Commander of Provincial Police Region 2.


 

H.E. Eugene Hutchinson (right), Irish Ambassador for Thailand, Kuala Lumpur and Laos, and his wife Madame Adele (2nd right) were the guests of honor at the annual ‘St. Patrick’s Day Ball’ organized by St. Patrick’s Society Bangkok, led by President Des Kimmet (center) and committee member Siobhan Kennedy (2nd left). 300 Irish guests attended the party at the Watergate Ballroom, Amari Watergate Hotel, and were welcomed by the hotel’s resident manger, David Cumming (left).


Pakorn Srisook, executive assistant manager of the Montien Hotel, Pattaya leads the staff to pour water over the palms of Achana Snitwongse Na Ayudhaya, managing director of the hotel to wish her well and seek her blessings over the traditional Songkran festival.


Orapin Musiknavabutr (right), director of human resources for Pattaya Marriott Resort & Spa recently presented a cheque for 120,000 baht to Richard Hathaway (left), vice president of Habitat for Humanity Asia Pacific (Thailand). The money will be used for a housing project for a homeless family as part of the Spirit To Serve program. The event also celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Habitat for Humanity.


Ray McIntosh donates the proceeds from the Charity Grand National sweepstakes at Jameson’s to Jameson’s manageress Aey. The funds will go towards the Jesters Care for Kids Charity Drive 2008. This year the Jesters Care for Kids charity drive fair will be held at the Diana Driving Range and Resort on Sunday, September 14, and the Jesters Party Night will be at Jameson’s Irish Pub on Saturday September 20.
