Royal Cliff Beach Resort wins again the coveted Kuoni Green Planet Award

Kuoni’s Corporate Responsibility Project Manager Mr. Matthias Leisinger (2nd left) presents the Green Planet Award 2007-08 to the Royal Cliff Beach Resort Managing Director Mrs. Panga Vathanakul, while the Resort’s Executive Director, Mr. Vathanai Vathanakul (1st right) and Senior Sales Manager Leisure,
Mr. Rudolf Roitmayr (1st left) look on.

Kuoni is a leading leisure tour operator based in Zurich with offices throughout the world. The group is known both within Thailand and across Asia for its commitment towards environment-friendly travel solutions. It presents the Green Planet Award biennially to hoteliers and travel industry groups that demonstrate exceptional leadership and concern for the environment and sustainable tourism.
Kuoni’s Corporate Responsibility Project Manager Mr. Matthias Leisinger presented the environmental award for 2007-08 to the Royal Cliff Beach Resort’s Managing Director Mrs. Panga Vathanakul at a simple function held at the Promenade Lounge, Royal Cliff Grand & Spa, recently.
After receiving the award, Mrs. Panga said she was proud to have made a contribution to preserving Pattaya’s beaches and surrounding natural habitats.
“The Green Planet Award serves as a fitting recognition of our commitment towards responsible natural-resource usage, respect for the environment and a sustainable ecological system,” she added.
The acclaimed Royal Cliff Beach Resort has won numerous awards and accolades from both national and international organisations. It is the first resort in Thailand to achieve the ISO 14001 Certification for its environmental management system.
