The Clothing Appeal organised by The Charity Club of Pattaya is now officially closed. All the clothing has been distributed to the needy in various villages in the north of Thailand, where it is now getting very cold. The Charity Club would like to thank all those who donated clothing and bedding to the appeal. The well-known Indian physician Dr Kamal is back in Pattaya. He now practices at his new "Dr. Kamal" clinic located on Soi 16 in South Pattaya, close to the Sikh Temple. Dr Kamal has devoted himself to naturopathic practices and heals with magnetic energy and special massages. Every Sunday from 10:30 am to 1 pm, Dr Kamal treats any patient free of charge. Clubs & Associations

The next meeting of Pattaya City Expats Club (PCEC) will be on Sunday, November 25. The Club meets every Sunday morning at Henry J. Bean’s Restaurant on the north end of Beach Road in the grounds of the Amari Orchid Resort. The program starts as usual at 10:30 a.m. with a buffet breakfast available from 9:30 to 11 a.m. This week, the PCEC welcomes back the author Dean Barrett who will introduce and discus his new book Dragon Slayer. For the past 28 years the Samaritans of Thailand have been providing confidential crisis intervention services over the telephone. The English-speaking unit, Samaritans English Help Line operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide support to the expatriate community. English-speaking staff, trained in crisis intervention will provide active, non-judgmental and empathetic listening services on the phone. The Royal British Legion, Chonburi Thailand Branch is now up and running at Tropical Bert’s. You do not have to have served in H.M. armed services to join as long as you support the principles of the Legion you are more than welcome.
