Chanyut Hengtrakul former Chonburi MP presided over the opening ceremonies of the Cycle-Motor Cross Championship at Mab Prachan reservoir speed and dirt racing track recently. The races were held for the enjoyment of race enthusiasts and also the prize money won would supplement the payment of their school fees.


 

Pracha Taerat Governor of Chonburi province and Bunsri Suthammanuwat director and general secretary of the Big C Super Center Plc Foundation presented the foundation’s 7th basketball court to the Banglamung Boy’s Orphanage. The orphanage houses more than 200 children under the care of Chamaiporn Martsuthi. The Foundation was founded in 2002 and has continuously sponsored sporting and educational equipment, scholarship grants and built school buildings for underprivileged children. The foundation encourages children to play sports and stay away from drugs.

The PIH’s support and contribution as the Official Regatta Medical Support Unit at the annual Pattaya Mail PC Classic Royal Cliff Beach Resort International Regatta has greatly enhanced this world class yachting event, thereby raising funds for service projects for the underprivileged children in our community under the care of Rotary clubs and other associations. The PIH has also been appointed the Official Tournament Medical Support Unit for the upcoming Pattaya Mail Mike Franklin Classic Charity Golf Tournament scheduled for June 29.


GE Healthcare Lunar Asia led by Dave Sclack, Global Service Manager, and SP Kyon, Lunar Asia General Manager, held its South East Asia VIP meeting at Dusit Resort, Pattaya recently. The meeting was held to review GE Healthcare’s business returns in 2006 and to introduce the new products in 2007 as well as set-up its sales and marketing plan for this year.


Mayor, Niran Wattanasartsathorn preside over the graduation ceremonies at the Banglamung Vocational School where in the presence of their proud parents, he presented certificates to 337 students who successfully completed the 3-year course. The college offers vocational curriculum that assist the young adults in looking for the right jobs to be able to augment their livelihoods in the future.


Toys “R” Us a well-known brand store selling all kinds of toys and electronic games for children opened its 5th branch in Thailand and the first on the eastern seaboard recently. The store is located at Pattaya Central Festival Center.
