Clubs

The next meeting of Pattaya City Expats Club (PCEC) will be on Sunday, April 29. The Club meets every Sunday morning at Henry J. Bean’s Restaurant on the north end of Beach Road in the grounds of the Amari Orchid Resort. The program starts as usual at 10:30am with a buffet breakfast available from 9:30 to 11am. Everyone is warmly welcome. Each week, a guest speaker will provide an informal but interesting talk on a wide range of topics. This will be followed by the lively Open Forum and update on happenings in and around Pattaya. A full report appears each week in Pattaya Mail. Amor Restaurant celebrates 13 years of service to the Pattaya community this April and is tempting customers with a wide selection of mango dishes, both sweet and savory for the mango season. Fine dining at the Dusit Resort, Pattaya: Chef Chi Tak Lai prepares clever interpretations of traditional Hong Kong favourites for his Seafood creations in April. Jameson’s Irish Pub has introduced a new Wednesday three-course ‘Quick Service’ special for 185 baht: Home made soup, mixed salad, or mussels ‘vinai’ (cooked in their shells with butter, garlic & herbs). Gallery Opium is hosting a special Pattaya International Ladies Club charity event, an Exhibition of Children’s Art. The artwork has been created by underprivileged children from five different schools and children’s homes in the Pattaya area, namely Ban Jing Jai Street Kids Home, Fountain of Life, Mercy Centre, Wat Nong Kei Noi School and the Drop in Centre. After the official opening, members of the public will be invited to view the paintings, all of which will be for sale. The proceeds from all paintings sold will be given back to the respective school to help improve conditions or buy new equipment to benefit all the children. The Pattaya Pillow Fight Championships in aid of the Sawang Boriboon Foundation are taking place at the World of Sport Restaurant in Naklua. This charity event will take place with two semi finals on Monday 21st and Tuesday 22nd May with the grand final on Friday 25th May.
