This year’s Pattaya Carnival to go international
Pattaya Carnival 2007 is scheduled for May 4 to 6, with the avowed intent
being to attract international visitors to the city and to make this a more
international and exciting event than it has been in previous years.
Deputy Mayor Verawat Khakhay chaired a meeting of the organizing committee
on January 11. Amongst those taking part were Pratheep Malhotra, managing
director of Pattaya Mail Publishing Co Ltd, Thanet Supornsahasrungsri,
president of the Pattaya Business and Tourism Association, Kamlar
Benjawanich, chairman of the Pattaya Isaan Club, and Drew Noyes of the
Pattaya City Expats Club.

Urban Cowboy theme for the THA annual party
The Thai Hotels Association Eastern Chapter organized its annual party on
January 12 at Long Beach Garden Hotel and Spa. Association president
Chatchawal Supachayanont greeted the guests, many of whom arrived in cowboy
and cowgirl costume in accordance with the Urban Cowboy theme of the event.

National Ability Center from the US brings gifts of a lifetime to the disabled
Volunteers from the National Ability Center based in Utah, USA were in
Pattaya early this month on a mission of mercy and encouragement for at
least a hundred disabled men, women and children in Chonburi province.

PC Classic and Rotary Club of Jomtien-Pattaya support development of children’s skills in music and education
Pattaya School number 3, also known as Wat Sawang Fah Pruetharam School in
Naklua, celebrated Children’s Day on the 12th of January during which time a
message from Prime Minister Surayud Chulanont was delivered to the children
by Mayor Niran Wattanasartsathorn.

This was a special occasion and a 4-man Texas scramble to celebrate Keith
Fortt’s birthday. There was a full turnout and compliments should go to the
management of Eastern Star for their efficiency and professional attitude,
which made the day such a success.
