Mayor takes up pipe-laying problems with water supply authority

The mayor is in discussions with the water supply authority about problems suffered by the public in areas of the city where new water pipes are being laid.
On October 4, at the temporary office of the Water Pipe Construction Adjustment Project, located at the Provincial Waterworks Authority at Mabprachan Reservoir, Mayor Niran Wattanasartsathorn, Pattaya City Councilors, and members of the press met with Thanee Thongprachum, manager of the Pattaya Water Supply Office.

Rotary Club of Taksin-Pattaya holds family fun day at the beach

At the end of September the Rotary Club of Taksin-Pattaya organized a family day/fellowship day down to the lovely beach at Rayong. A VIP bus was arranged to transport 50 adults and children to the beach location leaving Pattaya at midday and arriving at the beach at 13.30.

2006 PILC holiday bazaar is great success

On Saturday, October 7, the Pattaya International Ladies’ Club held its annual Holiday Bazaar at the Royal Cliff Beach Resort Siam Ballroom. PILC President Gillian Thom was joined by guest of honor, Atchara Patchimnun, the wife of the Permanent Undersecretary of the Interior Ministry in the ribbon cutting ceremony. Not only did Atchara grace us with her presence, she also made a sizeable donation to PILC and purchased many sweets from the Rayong Bakery Project for the children from the Street Kids’ Home.

EsDesign donates FlossFirst Credit Card Dental Floss to Ban Jing Jai orphans

Stuart Saunders of EsDesign, Pattaya, has donated sufficient dental floss to Ban Jing Jai Orphanage, Pattaya, for each of the children. Stuart also attended the school and taught the children how to clean their teeth properly, so that they should never get cavities. “With good care, your teeth can last 500 years,” said Saunders.

Tee’s net 69, enough to take the Chairman’s Cup

Another fine and sunny day set the scene for the Khun Anand Panyarachun Chairman’s Cup at Eastern Star Country Club & Resort on Saturday October 14. The tournament, now in its third year, attracted a large field of 180 golfers, comprising members and local Thai golfers as well as a strong representation from the golf groups in Pattaya.
