Knud from Denmark celebrated his 71st birthday with family and friends at Jomtien Boathouse recently. Asia’s top Elvis impersonator was present to sing the birthday song and keep ‘em rockin’ through the nite’.


Mr. Prayuth Thamdhum, General Manager of the Montien Hotel, Pattaya welcomed a group of travel agents from Russia on their site educational and hotel inspection trip to Pattaya. The tour was possible with the cooperation with PTS (Thailand) Co., Ltd.


Yuwadee Boonkrong, managing director of Asia Television & Media Company Limited, producer of Thai Concerts on Stage presents 100,000 Baht to Colonel Piya Rakprakob, Deputy Commander in Chief of 14th Infantrymen Division to be used for operating expenses, and to support the troops’ welfare during a fund raising concert held at the Chonburi municipal grounds recently.


Jaturon Chaysaeng, Minister of Education presided over a seminar on “Strategy of higher education: Crisis or Opportunity” organised by the Ministry of Education and Burapha University at The Tide Resort, Bangsaen Beach. During the seminar Abhisit Vejjajiva, head of the Democrat party spoke on the topic of ‘Ethics, standard and quality of higher education in Thailand’.


Makoto Koshinaka the 26-year-old Japanese rock superstar singing sensation was recently invited to the city by Tourism Authority of Thailand (Region 3) and the Thai Hotels Association-Eastern Chapter, Pattaya Business and Tourism Association and the local government, to promote the city’s attractions to the younger people in Japan and other Asian countries. Marcus Wirsching, Resident Manager and other charming staff welcomed him to the Dusit Resort, Pattaya which became his temporary home.
