Helga Jaermann, Art Teacher of the Porcelain Painting Station of the Bangsai Arts and Crafts Centre - The Support Foundation of H.M. Queen Sirikit of Thailand and some of her best students won 1 Gold, 2 Silver and 4 Bronze awards at the International IPAT 2006 Exhibition & Competition (International Porcelain Artists & Teachers, Inc.) in King of Prussia, near Philadelphia. Highly qualified artists from all over the world participated in this high-level convention vying for the only 2 gold medals awarded, one of which was secured by Theerapong of the Bangsai Centre with his creation of a vase “Orchids of Thailand”. The second gold was won by the well know professional “Meissen” painter Sieglinde Hertel. Thai Airways International Public Company Ltd. and The Chamber of Commerce University generously sponsored the Team.


Pakorn Srisook, Executive Assistant Manager of the Montien Hotel, Pattaya in cooperation with Pal-Worldwide and Tourism Authority of Thailand hosted a welcome dinner for VIP travel agents from the Philippines who were on an educational and inspection trip to Pattaya recently.

Mr. Jan Eggebeen, Chairman and CEO of Philips Electronics (Thailand) Ltd., teaches how to use computers to students at Ban Lem Kruad’s computer lab, which Philips has supported, funding 15 new computers under the Philips’ Post-Tsunami Sustainable Livelihood Rehabilitation Project to Ban Laem Kruad School to support student education and will develop into the village computer lab in the future.
