Pattaya’s elderly celebrate traditional Songkran

Mayor Niran Wattanasartsathorn
and city council members perform traditional pouring of water over the hands of
community elders during Elderly Day, one of the many Songkran activities held
this year. The ceremony, held at the Public Health Service Center on Soi
Buakhao, is where the younger generations wish their elders health, happiness
and prosperity over the coming year. (Full story and many photos of Pattaya and
Naklua’s Songkran festival in next week’s Pattaya Mail)

Province to survey land to ensure fair price is set for Jomtien Second Road acquisition
Chonburi Deputy Governor Komsan Aekachai has ordered a survey
of land along the route of the proposed Jomtien Second Road, with the aim of
determining a reasonable price for it. He added that prices being sought by
landowners are currently too high, but that he appreciates the difficulty of
surrendering property in this economically successful area.
Komsan held a meeting at Pattaya City Hall on April 10 during which he discussed
the basic price and payment amount for land surrendered to the government
according to the Royal Decree of Land Limits. The land is within the Nongprue
area, located between Thappraya and Najomtien.

Regent’s Round Square Service Group meets the School for Life at Asian University

Hearing the title of this project, a mixture of thoughts immediately
prompts my mind. How can a life be taught in a school? Or is it lives
that are being built up there? Does it give life? It simply gives a
chance.
