The Embassy of Switzerland in Bangkok has introduced
a new visa appointment service. As of April 3, 2006 you can make an
appointment by calling: 1900 222 340 (9 baht/minute). This service will be
tested until April 21. Starting from April 23, visa clients will only be
welcomed at Swiss visa desks during their fixed appointments. Appointments in
Thai or English language can be arranged at the external phone number 1900 222

The ANZAC Day remembrance and community service
program will be conducted this year on Monday, April 24 and Tuesday, April 25.

The North Star Library actively promotes “reading
for learning and enjoyment” for all children, with special priorities given
to underprivileged children. With every membership, 2 Thai children are
automatically sponsored to join the library. Basic computer classes begin May
1; two twenty hour courses will be run each month free to all library members
and Thais. The courses during May will be in English, and will commence to be
taught in Thai in June. Thai language classes start in June. Children’s
