Interior Ministry rebukes city hall for slowness and inefficiency

The Ministry of the Interior has taken the unusual step of castigating Pattaya City officialdom for inefficiency and slowness in progressing development projects.
At a March 9 meeting in Pattaya District Office, Mayor Niran Watthanasartsathorn gathered department heads to provide answers to the slowness in withdrawing budgeted expenditures, the subject that had sparked the ministry’s criticism.

Anyone visiting Tony’s Gym on Pattaya Third Road last week could have been forgiven for thinking that they had just been transported to the Rhondda Valley. The reason? The arrival in town of the Welsh Amateur Boxing team for the Commonwealth Games, due to start this week in Melbourne, Australia.
