Pattaya comes alive
for three days of carnival fun
A grand parade down Beach Road to
Bali Hai pier kicked off Pattaya Carnival 2006 on Friday, February 24. Thousands
of revelers packed the stage area for three days to celebrate listening to their
favorite musicians, watch comedy acts and witness the crowning of Miss Pattaya
Carnival 2006.

There will be no more
water shortages, Irrigation Department promises
Thanet Supharangsee, president of the Pattaya Business and
Tourism Association, called a meeting of members and representatives of relevant
organizations and government agencies at Green Park Resort on February 15 to try
and find ways to remedy the water shortage that is affecting the hotel and
tourism industry.
The shortages are occurring even though Chonburi Irrigation Department had
previously declared there would be no water shortages this year as there is
already enough water in reserve, even though water from the Bang Pakong River
cannot be fed quickly enough due to heavy seas.

For a number of years PILC members have met on a regular basis at the Karunyawet
Home for Disabled Ladies on the last Friday of every month.
PILC, being an International Club, is always represented by members from as many
as seven different countries. Getting together to take part in therapeutic
social activity that not only benefits the 170 disable ladies present, but also
the women from PILC themselves.

Thailand and Hong Kong. However, this very topic was on the agenda as the
German Speaking Business Club met in February at the Dusit Resort. Visiting
speaker was the German lawyer Markus Klemm and although the topic might
appear to be rather dull, the event was booked out to the last seat.

Competitors from more than 11 countries compete in the Enduro, Pattaya
February 23 - ORTEV International and Maxxis
International (Thailand) Co. Ltd. held an Enduro in the “Maxxis Asia Open
2006”. More than 90 competitors from all parts of the globe took part in the
event and attended the opening of the Enduro race on Beach Road, Soi 6.
