Vegetarian Festival underway in Pattaya

Thousands of people participated in the opening activities on October 13 for this year’s Majestic Vegetarian Festival 2004. The opening day festivities included a parade featuring a large fireworks spitting dragon, lions, provincial floats carrying sacred images, and the largest ‘Jabchai Jae’ pot in the country. A grand display of fine products competing in the “The Best of One Tambon One Product” contest was on show for judging at the Grand Sole Hotel on Second Road on October 5. Chawalit Sanguthai, Banglamung deputy district chief presided over the opening ceremonies. A panel of VIPs, product manufacturers and experts judged the competition.

Team ‘Ascendant 2’ rises above competition to take home royal trophy

Ascendant 2, the winning team in the YWCA Bangkok-Pattaya Chapter Charity Bowling tournament received the ‘HRH Princess Sirindhorn Cup’ after defeating 46 other teams. Just eleven points separated first and second place after a full day of bowling last Saturday.
