Pattaya City Mayor, Niran Wattanasartsathorn accompanied by the city administration team, presented sacred candles to monks at Wat Huay Yai on the auspicious occasion of the beginning of Buddhist Lent.


Office of Tourism Development and Thai Hotel Association (THA Eastern Chapter) with the cooperation of lecturers from the Mahidol and Burapha Universities, held a course to teach practical English For Hotel Work” at the Sunbeam Hotel Pattaya recently.


Chatchawal Supachayanont, General Manager of the Dusit Resort, Pattaya led his management and staff to present holy candles to Pra Kru Dammarungsrivisuth, the abbot of Wat Nopthongdee Sriprektaram (Wat Pong Temple) on the auspicious occasion of the beginning of Buddhist Lent.


A group of lecturers and students from the Taweetapisek School in Bangkok visited the Amari Orchid Resort, Pattaya, to obtain clearer perception and knowledge about hotel operations and facilities. They also experienced the hospitality afforded at luxury accommodations, which have beautiful gardens. They also got to learn first hand about western style table manners. On the auspicious occasion of the beginning of Buddhist Lent, Sophin Tappajug, Managing Director of the Diana Group led her staff to present candles to monks at Wat Nong Yai, Wat Khao Makok and Wat Jomtien. This has been a tradition with the group for many years.


Eastern Seaboard Environment Complex (ESBEC) and Waste Management Siam Co., Ltd. (WMS), recently arranged training program for basic landfill operation procedures for Laemchabang Municipality staff at ESBEC. After they completed a prescribed program, Mr. John L. Hamilton, ESBEC’s General Manager presented certificates of achievement to all trainees. Mr. Phoosit Jamsri, Deputy Mayor encouraged them at Laemchabang Municipality Office.


Congratulations were in order for Lek and Sugar Ray on the joyous occasion of their wedding held at the Montien Hotel, Pattaya.
