First of the Mr. Men contests raises money for HEARTT2000

The first of the “Mr. Men” contests of the 2004 season was held at the Throb-Splash show bars on Thursday February 26.

In what was a close competitive event between Art, number 11 and Chai, number 12, Mr. Popular was declared to be Art when his supporters had bought 200 bananas.

Winners of the PGF Mr. Muscle competition.

Unfortunately these two gentlemen did not progress far in the main competition as they were, no doubt, regarded as more “body-beautifuls” than Mr. Muscle by the judges.

The eventual winners of the Mr. Muscle competition were 2nd runner-up Phon (1) from Derby Men’s Club, massage and gym, 1st runner-up Kaw (10) from the Cafe Royale, Body Club, and the winner was El (15) from Khanpanna Bar in Soi 2.

The Throb-Splash show bar put on a collection of new items for the entertainment of customers and the night ended with the usual lucky draw for TV, DVD player and other vouchers and bottles kindly donated by sponsors.

The final result brought in a donation to PGF funds for HEARTT2000 of some 75,000 baht for which everyone is thanked. Those who helped organize, attended and obviously the boys who entered the competition, without whom the night would have been rather boring!
