YWCA & Rotary donate musical instruments to Nong Chak Ngaew

Treat students to a lunch on National Children’s Day

YWCA Bangkok-Pattaya Center’s president, Nitaya Patimasongkroh and members donated 40 musical instruments to the Ban Chak Ngaew School band worth 13,300 baht and treated the students to a nice lunch on National Children’s Day, January 11. The Rotary Club of Taksin-Pattaya also donated 5,000 baht in scholarships to the school.

The school band thanks the YWCA and Rotary for providing them with new instruments.

The school band is very active and has performed at various places to the great enjoyment of the public. However, the band still lacked an adequate budget for instruments, therefore the YWCA decided to use part of the club’s charity allocation to buy instruments for the school to encourage the students and teachers to continue their public performances.

School director Bamnet Jinkaow welcomed the group and accepted the donation on behalf of the school. As a gesture of appreciation the band put on a show for the guests. Their performance of 10 songs delighted all the club members as well as the teachers and parents.
