Santsak Ngampiches celebrates his 61st birthday at Grand Sole Hotel
Hundreds of Santsak Ngampiches friends presented him
flowers and bestowed their best wishes upon him during a festive birthday
celebration for the chairman of the advisory board to the minister of
science, technology and environment at the Grand Sole Hotel on August 20.
Distinguished guests included Chonburi governor Chadej
Insawang, Saensuk mayor Somchai Khunpluem, advisor to the minister of
science, technology, and environment Chanyut Hengtrakul, and Pattaya mayor
Pairat Suttithamrongsawat, as well as many well-wishers who attended the
luncheon buffet. At 6:00 p.m. a friendly dinner was held and diners were
entertained with musical shows.
Santsak Ngampiches was born on August 20th, finished
pre-university of Mini MBA courses at Cholrat-amrung School Chonburi,
attained two Bachelor Degrees in Business Administration at Rachamonkol
Technology and Civil Studies at Ramkamhaeng, Bangkok, and an honors degree
at Western Pacific in California USA.
Santsak began his political career as Chonburi mayor
and was elected to parliament for five consecutive terms. He currently
holds the position of chairman of advisors to the science, technology, and
environment minister.
Santsak is also a successful businessman and is
managing director of Grand Sole Hotel, Grand Ocean Co., Ltd., New City
Chonburi Co., Ltd. and Cholpana Co. Ltd.
In the social sector Santsak is a dedicated activist in several
community service groups and has held key positions including past
president of JC Thailand, past president of the Cholrat-amrung School
Alumni Association, president of Assumption College Parents and
Instructors Association, advisor to the Lions Club of Chonburi, advisor to
Chonburi Chamber of Commerce, advisor to the Business and Tourism
Association in Pattaya, and president of the Local Scout Club.

Satil Khunpluem, chairwoman of the Chonburi Women’s
Development Committee, committee members, Pattaya International Ladies Club
members, members of the Y.W.C.A. Bangkok-Pattaya and many distinguished
guests proudly presented a Thai Silk fashion show at the Royal Garden
Shopping Plaza.

presented funds raised from the charitable Fashion Show to commemorate the
Queen’s birthday to Kathy Heinecke (right), director of Minor Holding
(Thai) Ltd., to be donated to the Thai Red Cross Project to help “Save a
Child’s Life from AIDS”. Witnessing the presentation was Saisom
Wongsasuluk (center), president of the Caring Hearts for AIDS Foundation.
The show was held to celebrate the Queen’s birthday
August 12th and to raise funds for Thailand Red Cross Association to be used
in the Mother-to-Child AIDS transmission prevention project under the
auspices of HRH Princess Soamsawali.
The show was a marvelous mixture of traditional dress from all 4 regions
in Thailand. The show featured Thai silk and focused on the unique
lifestyles of various parts of the Kingdom. A variety of fine Thai silk
products were available for sale on the ground floor of the Plaza.
