life of crime.
Crime Suppression Division officers were able to
apprehend two motorcycle thieves after a high speed chase at 2:00 a.m.
on December 11th.
Police had received information that the two adolescents were in the
process of stealing motorcycles from in front of an unnumbered house in
Soi Jiraphon, Bua Khao Road. Although the teenagers fled on the stolen
motorcycles as officers gave chase, police were able to cut them off
before they completed their escape.
The two have been named as Nukul Wanchai, 19, of Chonburi, who had just
been released from a 2 years 6 months prison term for the same crime,
and Surachai Phirom, 17, of Sriracha. Both had come to Pattaya from
Sriracha with the intent to steal, as police found a complete set of
tools necessary to accomplish the crime.
The owner of the motorcycles, Mr. Sanan Reungma, 34, came to the police
station, identified the vehicles and told officers that he had locked
the steering columns, but to not avail.
The lost lads await the scales of justice.
