Heroin bust

November 26: Police arrested Ms. Buathong Wankrom, 43, for selling heroin to an undercover police officer.
Initial police investigations revealed that heroin was being sold from a house on Soi Yen Sabai. The Crime Suppression Division organised a sting operation using marked 100 baht notes to make a purchase of heroin from Wankrom at the above mentioned residence.
Upon searching Wankrom, police found approximately .60 grams of heroin in her underclothing, and an additional 22 two inch long coffee vials full of the drug in her house. The total value of the bust was approximately 10,000 baht.
The woman confessed that her husband had sold heroin and was now residing in Chonburi Prison. She said didn’t know what else to do with her husband in prison and her without a profession. She admitted selling heroin to her husband’s former
customers.
