Elderly Briton dies during massage

Teerarak Suthathiwong
An elderly British man died of an apparent heart attack while enjoying a traditional massage in Pattaya.
Adriano Santarelli, 81, was found shirtless at Aura Massage on Soi Buakaow Nov. 20. He’d been dead for about 10 minutes.
Masseuse Nattapasaorn Pladma, 50, said Santarelli had been a regular customer. She was giving him a traditional Thai massage and was working on his arm when suddenly he started seizing. She called authorities, but he had died by the time they arrived.
Police assumed the Briton had suffered a heart attack, but the body was sent to medical examiners to determine the official cause of death.
