A Russian man under surveillance for three years for allegedly
abusing underage teen boys finally was arrested in Pattaya.
Region 2 Women and Children Protection Center officers and Parisorn
Noja, director of the Anti-Trafficking and Child Abuse Center,
apprehended Anton Protas, 42, at the Marika Residence on Soi 4 June 16.
Police confiscated two laptops, a portable hard disk and numerous
flash-memory drives to check for child pornography. In addition, police
also found dolls and toys for children to play with.
Investigators then had Protas lead them to a house in Siam Royal Ville
on Soi Khao Talo, where officers found lubricants and condoms.
Parisorn said he and the ATCC have been monitoring Protas for three
years, accusing him of sadistically assaulting and sexually abusing
numerous boys under the age of 15. However, he said, each time police
tried to arrest the Russian, he would escape.
