Russian woman found dead in central Pattaya condo

Forensics experts have been asked to determine why a Russian
woman died in her central Pattaya condominium.
The decomposing body of Tatiana Shmykova, 63, was found lying on her bed
at the Niran Grand Condotel on Soi Arunothai May 8. She had been dead
for at least five days. A condominium staffer discovered the body after
detecting a foul smell emanating from the apartment.
Police said the room appeared normal, except for a large number of empty
beer and liquor bottles.
A Niran employee said Shmykova had been living there for many years and
was a heavy drinker. Her body was sent to the Forensics Institute to
determine a cause of death.
