Centara Grand Phratamnak Pattaya, set in the exclusive residential district of Pratamnak Hill, the “Beverly Hills” of Pattaya, soft-opened on 15 October and welcomed its first guests, Admiral Taweewuth Pongsapipatt, Chief of Staff of the Royal Thai Navy and his wife, Captain Doctor Woranart Pongsapipatt.
The couple were welcomed by the resort’s general manager, Dominique Ronge, and members of his management team.
“We are delighted to announce that the hotel is now in its soft opening phase, and to be welcoming our first guests,” said Ronge.
The resort is designed to the most luxurious and elegant of standards and is situated just a few steps away from the beach at Pratamnak Hill, Pattaya’s most exclusive residential district.

Also seen in the photo are Wassana Pokthang (far left), executive assistant manager and Chananchida Wongsa-ard (far right), sales and public relations manager of Centara Grand Phratamnak Pattaya.

The dramatic interior design features two large aquariums in the lobby that are stocked with exotic marine species, including black tip sharks and groupers, with a lighting system and theme that extends the marine concept throughout the ground floor. Jellyfish chandeliers and luxury furniture from Italian designer Fendi compliment the stunning Grand piano in the lobby.
The property is now accepting bookings, and in a surprise move, Tulip Group have decided to offer special discounts for customers looking for extended long term stays of 30 days and more.
“Pattaya we feel requires executive long term accommodation, and this is lacking in Pattaya right now, so we will offer clients the opportunity to book long term stays in the property, in addition to short term,” said Tulip Group Vice President Jason Payne.
The 5 star property owned by Tulip Group is something completely new for Pattaya, designed more as a private club, offering stunning facilities, amazing views and offering a 6 star standard of service.

Royal Wing Suites & Spa wins Social Hotel Award for Best Reputation Management in Social Media

Royal Wing Suites & Spa wins Social Hotel Award for Best Reputation Management in Social Media.

Royal Wings Suites & Spa won the Best Reputation Management in Social Media in the second annual Social Hotel Awards of Hotels magazine. This award honors best practices in hotel social media marketing from around the world and recognizes both brands and individual properties for their leadership and innovation in connecting with consumers online via social media.
According to the magazine, Royal Wing’s strong program for documenting issues and specific written action plans enabled the hotel to take home the prize for Best Reputation Management in Social Media by a property. Royal Cliff Hotels Group has an established hotel internet marketing team that monitors reviews with software and reports them to the hotel’s senior managers. The hotel then holds weekly meetings to go over any negative comments with the goal of addressing significant issues and creating productive solutions that will help improve customer satisfaction and build customer loyalty.
“We believe that understanding our customers is the key to giving them exceptional service,” Vitanart Vathanakul, executive director of Royal Cliff Hotels Group said. “To enhance our guests’ experience involves getting to know our customers so well that we are able to anticipate their needs and exceed their expectations. This means constantly being attentive to them, addressing their honest feedbacks and understanding their experiences from their point of view. Encouraging customer engagement through the use of social media greatly helps us achieve our goal of continually inspiring customer loyalty and increasing global advocacy for our hotels.”
The Social Hotels Awards judges commented, “Royal Wing has a very strong program in place - to document issues and create specific written plans show commitment. We also love that there is a true 360-degree response to guest comments.”
The winning entries in 7 categories were chosen by a panel of social media experts and Hotels editors. Categories ranged from Best Integrated Digital Campaign to Best Use of Digital Video, with each category divided by hotel brands and individual properties
