Waiter comes to aid of drugged, robbed Omani tourist

Bunjan Honphukiew (seated, shirtless) tries to explain to police what might have happened to him.

Teerarak Suthathiwong
An Omani tourist drugged and robbed by a transvestite prostitute got a helping hand from a waiter who came to his rescue.
Bunjan Honphukiew, 25, brought the Ahed Hamdaen, 33, to Pattaya police Sept. 24 after finding him staggering down Soi Kophai hungry and penniless. While they had trouble communicating, Bunjan learned the Omani had been drugged and robbed of all his belongings by a transvestite prostitute he picked up on Walking Street the night before. The waiter bought him lunch and tried to console him.
Police said Hamdaen was still foggy from the drugs and could not provide coherent details. But officers said they were investigating.
