TAT, private sector, promoting 2015 for Thai traditional tourism

BANGKOK, 18 September 2014 –The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is holding tourism promotions in cooperation with the private sector and promoting 2015 as a year for Thai traditions.

The TAT Governor revealed the promotional activity will be held at five international tourism fairs in the 4th quarter of 2014 together with special initiatives in 2015 to promote Thai traditional tourism, in order to increase revenue from the popular international tourism fairs.

TAT will also put forward a strategy of reforms to meet the goal of developing sustainable tourism by emphasizing the special features of Thai traditions.

From next year, TAT plans to launch a proactive strategy focusing on ‘Online – social media – digital communication’ which is extensive and accessible for the propagation of Thai tourism information to the world.
