Pattaya governing board member Sinchai Wattanasartsathorn delivered the opening speech on the “promotion of a qualified-tourists market from China”.

The seminar was aimed at helping tourism operators become more efficient and grow their businesses.

Amnuay Tiemkeerakul, a China market specialist, and TAT’s Kunming, China office director Pinnart Charoenpol spoke to the attendees on methods and strategies to promote Pattaya to qualified Chinese tourists and seek new markets.

Topics covered e-marketing, understanding Chinese tourists, and factors behind success in marketing in China.

TAT Pattaya Director Suladda Sarutilavan said the workshop was held to increase the value of the tourism market in Pattaya and Chonburi and boost the number of tourists from China while maintaining quality.

Amnuay said the lectures should help tourism businesses learn more about policy, strategy and marketing promotion.

For example, he said, businesses can learn the best way to gain the attention of tourists, give tourist attractions a unique identity, and drive sustainable tourism.

“Moreover, they can develop case studies in marketing for qualified tourists from China to develop their employees to be expert in the tourism market and be able to apply knowledge gained in planning and operating tourism marketing,” he said.
