BANGKOK, Feb 11 – Travellers now can rest assured that health services in Bangkok are excellent and on par with international standards thanks to blooming medical tourism products and services in Thailand where hospital treatment comes with complete concierge service for patients.

Centrally located at the Airport’s passenger arrival gate, the Bangkok Hospital  Airport Service Center is among private hospitals here that provide information and ground support services to inbound medical tourists.

Bangkok Hospital CEO Dr Chatree Duangnet told us that the hospital’s business-class setting lounge aims to make patients, mostly from the United Arab Emirates, ASEAN and South Asia, feel special. He said all the countries claim to be medicalhubs but Thailand provides quite extraordinary service, unlike the others, saying the country beautifully integrates its clinical service with hospitality. There is also a 360 degree circle of support since the patients’ arrivals until their departure to make their stay much more luxurious at a reasonable price.

Bangkok Hospital has operated this service counter for two years. The service welcomes almost 800 patients a month and 200 walk-in patients. Bangkok Hospital’s sister company, Samitivej Hospital also operates a service center here at the airport. About 1,000 medical specialists work at Bangkok Hospital alone, 300 full-time. Patients get to see 3-4 specialists in one day, something they cannot find in other countries.
