SURAT THANI, Thailand – Officers from Bo Phut Police Station reported the arrest of Ms. Kaewta Chookhao, who allegedly deceived victims by offering fake airline tickets at discounted prices. She claimed to have access to both domestic and international flight tickets at special rates. Believing the offers to be genuine, over 50 victims transferred money to her. However, when attempting to use the tickets, they discovered they were invalid.

Initial investigations reveal damages amounting to approximately 3,672,890 baht. Complaints have been filed with Bo Phut Police Station as well as several other police stations across the country.

Police investigators tracked and arrested the suspect at a rented room in Maret Sub-district, Koh Samui, under arrest warrant No. 134/2568 issued on May 7, by the Koh Samui Provincial Court.

The suspect has denied all charges and expressed her intent to apply for bail. However, due to the large number of victims and the offenses spanning multiple jurisdictions, investigators are expected to oppose bail and proceed with legal actions to identify possible accomplices.
