CHIANG MAI, Thailand – Visitors heading to Doi Inthanon can now experience cooler weather as the mountain shows clear signs of the approaching winter season. Early morning temperatures on September 17 dropped to 10°C at the summit, 12°C at Kew Mae Pan, and 15°C at the park headquarters.

The weather remains mostly dry, though fog and occasional rainfall may affect visibility at some points. Authorities advise tourists to drive cautiously, especially in areas with thick morning mist.

Northern Meteorological Center reports that on Friday, upper northern Thailand may experience 40% chance of thunderstorms, mainly in Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Lamphun, and Lampang provinces.
