
BANGKOK, Thailand – Their Majesties the King and Queen traveled by royal motorcade to the King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great Memorial Park in Dusit District, Bangkok, to lay wreaths in tribute to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great on the occasion of Nawamindra Maharaj Day.
Their Majesties laid wreaths before the statue of the late King and performed the royal tribute ceremony. His Majesty the King laid a personal wreath, lit incense and candles in homage, while Her Majesty the Queen laid wreaths on behalf of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother and for herself, followed by offerings of incense and candles.
Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya and His Royal Highness Prince Dipangkorn Rasmijoti also attended the ceremony, each laying a personal wreath and paying respects to the late beloved King.
Following the ceremony, Their Majesties the King and Queen proceeded to the Amarin Winitchai Throne Hall in the Grand Palace, where They presided over the royal religious ceremony commemorating Nawamindra Maharaj Day, in remembrance of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great’s lifelong devotion and boundless compassion for the Thai people.
