BANGKOK, Thailand – The 2025 STEM Racing Thailand National Finals were recently hosted at the Grand Richmond Stylish Convention Hotel in Nonthaburi province, welcoming top student engineering talent from across the country. Supported by Formula 1, the event, running from October 10 to 12, served as one of Thailand’s most high-energy platforms for promoting science, technology, engineering, and mathematics among youth.

This year’s competition featured 25 student teams from across Thailand, including provinces such as Phrae and Nakhon Ratchasima. The Autistic Foundation of Thailand returned for a second year, while guest teams from Japan and Malaysia added an international perspective. The event highlights inclusivity and global collaboration in STEM education.

Chitralada Chanyaem, Director of the Bureau of International Cooperation at the Ministry of Education, presided over the opening ceremony, stressing the importance of equipping Thai students with 21st-century skills to meet future challenges. The event venue—the Richmond Grand Ballroom—was transformed into a racing arena with LED screens, showcase booths, and high-tech track setups.

Andrew Denford, Founder of STEM Racing, attended Saturday’s races, expressing support for the program’s global reach and Thailand’s growing role in international STEM competitions. The three-day event also featured hands-on engineering challenges and technical presentations judged by industry experts and educators.

The national finals concluded with an awards ceremony recognizing outstanding creativity, teamwork, and engineering performance. The national champion will go on to represent Thailand at the 2026 STEM Racing World Finals, continuing the event’s theme of shaping the future of Formula 1—one race at a time. (NNT)
