Residents united to try and rescue ‘Phlaisomrak’, a 115 years old elephant, that fell into some mud at the Pattaya floating market and was unable to get himself up.

Phlaisomrak  is the oldest elephant in Thailand and is the great-grandfather of ‘Phlainumsaek’, the elephant from the Tony Ja movie ‘Ong Bak’

The mahouts and residents were filling buckets of water to throw at the elephant while some had put rubber tires underneath his head to keep him from sinking.
