
BANGKOK, Thailand – Thailand has clinched the overall SEA Games championship, leading the medal standings with 196 gold, 129 silver, and 93 bronze medals in the latest update on December 18 at 8:00 p.m. The tally confirms Thailand’s commanding position as the competition nears its end.
Indonesia held second place with 80 gold medals, followed by Vietnam in third with 72. Singapore ranked fourth with 48 gold medals, while Malaysia stood fifth with 46. The Philippines remained in sixth place after securing 41 gold medals.
In the lower half of the standings, Myanmar collected three gold medals, and Laos earned two. Brunei recorded one gold medal, while Timor-Leste finished the Games with three bronze medals.
Several events concluded with shared podium results. Joint gold medals were awarded in three finals, including the women’s canoe double 200 meters and the men’s gymnastics vault and horizontal bar events.
