
BANGKOK, Thailand – The Ministry of Interior has expressed Thailand’s readiness to host the 14th ASEAN Ministers Meeting on Rural Development and Poverty Eradication (AMRDPE), with preparations centered on strengthening security and traffic management for attending delegations.
Department of Provincial Administration (DOPA) Director-General Narucha Kosacivilize assigned Deputy Director-General Witoon Sirinukul to chair the Subcommittee on Security and Traffic Management. The session brought together representatives from national security agencies, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Transport, and other relevant organizations.
The discussion focused on ensuring complete security readiness across all areas, with key topics including deployment planning, VIP protection measures, controlled access to meeting venues, and transportation facilitation for ASEAN delegates. Agencies also reviewed integrated operational plans to strengthen coordination among security units, the Royal Thai Police, and provincial administrative bodies, ensuring compliance with international safety standards for the high-level gathering.
The 14th AMRDPE is scheduled to take place from December 9 to 12, 2025, at Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel. (NNT)
